2026 D1 Women’s Soccer: Breakdown of Verbal Commitments by league!

Before spending more money chasing D1 soccer programs, take a look at these numbers:

  • 65% ECNL

  • 25% GA

  • 5% International

  • 5% Other leagues (ECRL, DPL, etc.)

If we break this down further, there are 348 Division 1 programs for women. Based on 5%, we can estimate around 500 roster spots nationwide for players from leagues like ECRL, DPL, etc.

Breaking it down further across 4 recruiting classes, that leaves approximately 125 roster spots in the entire nation for players coming from those leagues.

Think very carefully before signing up for that next ID clinic. Take the time to examine the rosters—do they recruit players outside of the GA/ECNL?

A simple rule of thumb: the lower the conference ranking, the more opportunities there are for players from other leagues. For example, among the first 211 players who have committed to Power 4 schools for 2027, ZERO have come from outside of the ECNL and GA.
